Feeling very excited for Nandos tonight with the girls. Its been too long since we've done something proper together like go out for a meal (and get drunk in secret under the table) hehe.

Went out thursday night to Bar C, a good, cheap night as usual but going to sleep at 4 and waking up at 7 did not set me up for a good day friday, felt like rubbish and ate about 5000 calories to give me energy which didnt even make the slightest bit of diffrence!

Weekend in Nottingham

Had a lovely weekend with my baby as usual. Done lots of things and hardly spent any money! We went cinema (twice!) shopping, swimming and a HUGE meal at Pizza Hut, due to the fact we had a voucher for 50% off haha!

Went to see a film ive been looking forward to since early last year 'Precious' and it was defiently worth the wait. The film was certainly not uplifting by any means but it did have its moments which make you laugh. The film is ultimatly shocking, heart-breaking and at times, disturbing. Even though the film gives you many negative emotions you do however leave the cinema with a smile on your face. whether thats from the amazing film you just saw or because your glad it ends with a slighty happy ending. I would recommend it to anyone!

3 Words: Cheryl Cole

When I heard Cheryl Cole was releasing a solo album my initial reaction wasn’t too optimistic. Being a huge Girls Aloud fan, I wasn’t sure Cheryl would be able to achieve the success of the band without the other four girls.

After listening to all eleven tracks I decided I was quite taken with the music and voice of Cheryl Cole. Yes, she may not be one of the greatest singers of all time, let alone in Girls Aloud, but it does have that certain... X-factor. The first genre you would expect from this album is straight up pop. The album in fact, is nothing but. Many different genres and sounds are featured on every song of the album from, funk, electro, R&B and hip-hop. Some of the tracks reminded me of Kylie Monogue in the 'Cant get you out of my head' era, but this does nothing but compliment the album more, as Cole pulls it off as her own.

The albums produced by Will.i.am , who also collaborates with Mrs Cole on four of the tracks. Having produced many successful hits for his own group (The Black Eyes Peas) the songs he produces on this album are just as good. I believe he is the main reason for the consistent quality of the album as you can hear elements of his style throughout the album which strengthens nearly every song. Also what was surprising is that ‘Fight for This Love’ is probably one of its kind on the album as most of the others tracks are much more funky and urban based. The thing that makes me respect this album is that although the lyrics aren’t particularly in-depth or intelligent the quality of the songs more than make up for it.

From the first song to the last, they are all Top 10 worthy. Cheryl more than proves she can successfully manage a solo career without the band as she delivers an original and funky first album. I can only hope there’s even more to come from Mrs Cole in the future.
